RampAttak is 1800 square metres of fun and challenges on wheels. It's designed to provide a safe and friendly play space for users of skateboards, bmx, inliners and scooters. A variety of ages (6 yrs and up) and levels of ability are welcome to enjoy this facility through cooperation by all in attendance. Obstacles ranging from the beginner to the experienced are provided to build confidence and skill levels.
Mountain bikes are welcome to use the park on weekdays between 3pm to 6pm and on Wednesday nights between 6pm- 9pm. This will exclude school holidays, public holidays and weekends. The obstacles at RampAttak have been designed to accommodate users in 4 disciplines:
- Skateboard
- BMX Bikes 20 inch
- Scooters
- Inline skates
Given that the park can get very busy at times, early primary school aged children and beginners are encouraged to use the park during quiet session times (3 to 6pm) or Sundays mornings (9am to 12noon). The park is not suited to preschoolers.
Conditions of Use apply. These are available at the door entrance and should be read prior to entering the building. Simply, users will ride or skate at own risk and within their limitations. WARNING: There are high risk obstacles in the skatepark which are more challenging than others. eg: The new mini vert ramp/wall ride and foam pit are recommended only for experienced riders. Spectators are welcome at their own risk as well. Management and staff are not responsible for personal property or any injury that occurs.
For your safety and enjoyment: A limit of 140 applies to the venue. Helmets are compulsory and available for hire for $5 per 3hr session. Handle grips with plugs are also compulsory and are available to purchase from our shop for $15 or $20 a pair. Knee, elbow and wrist guards are encouraged to be worn. Given the popularity of the park, the floor and obstacles are highly used and will incur some damage. Please become familiar with the surfaces and layout prior to riding, report any new damages done to staff and avoid these areas to prevent injury.
Important info: It is important to warmup your brain and your body on the smaller obstacles (street section) prior to using the foam pit or bigger ramps. Brie and inward whips are not allowed as they damage the timber. These can be done into the foam pit or onto the resi mat but not on the timber. If you go into the foam pit you must land on your feet holding onto at least one handle of your scooter/bike so that it does not fly into the air and hit you on the head or bounce back and hit you on the face/body causing injury. Do not try something outside of your limitations. Riding is done in a straight line up and down the building with no stopping on the obstacles in between. Do not ride across the building because you could crash into someone or cause an accident. Have fun, share the space and be safe at all times.
Don't forget to download the waiver here, to speed your entry into the park. This needs to be completed for your 1st visit to the park and must be signed by a legal guardian and witnessed if you are under 18 years. By signing this waiver you are accepting responsibility for your actions or those of the under age rider and accept that should the rider hurt themselves it is their fault and not the fault of Nelsams Qld P/L as trustee for the Larks Family Trust.
